A Lifetime of Music

Dave King has deeply studied music theory and the guitar for several decades. His main influences and teachers are Adam Rogers, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Pat Metheny, John Scofield and Mick Goodrick.  He has played with a wide range of musicians, including Ed Sarath (Professor of music in the Department of Jazz and Contemporary Improvisation at the University of Michigan), James Carter (Jazz Saxophonist), Chris Colllins (Phil Collins and W.S.U Jazz head), Joe Messina (Motown Funkbrothers) and has has released two Jazz CD's as leader, "Island Life - The Brazilian and Jazz Project" and "Nylon".  He has performed with the band "Brazil and Beyond" and appears on two of their released recordings.
